Raphael Onyedika has narrowly missed out on the prestigious Ebony Boot, an award given to the best African player in the Belgian Pro League.
The honour instead went to Zakaria El Ouahdi, who stood out this season with Genk. Interestingly, last year’s winner was his former teammate Tolu Arokodare, showing the strong impact of African players in the league.
Despite missing the award, Onyedika’s future is now the bigger talking point. The midfielder is reportedly considering a move away from Club Brugge after several seasons, with strong interest from Galatasaray and VfL Wolfsburg.
Could this be the right time for a new challenge?
Did Onyedika deserve the award this season?
And where would you like to see him play next?
